About HAFS
Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies (HAFS) is a private high school in Yongin, South Korea, founded in 2005. Guided by the vision “Put the World into Your Dream,” HAFS is dedicated to nurturing thoughtful, capable global leaders who are prepared to shape the future. With a strong academic spirit and a global outlook, HAFS strives to stand as Korea’s leading school and inspire students to reach beyond borders.
The Symbol
The torch at the heart of the HAFS symbol represents passion, aspiration, and vision. Its rising flame reflects the curiosity and determination that empower students to pursue knowledge and illuminate new possibilities. The orange and navy create a distinctive balance: orange conveys warmth, energy, and ambition, while navy suggests depth, confidence, and integrity. Together, they express the spirit of HAFS—bold in its aspirations and grounded in purpose.
